May Mariano has over 25 years of broad experience in physical planning of approximately 610,000 hectares of land area, office and residential architectural designs of approximately 1,000,000sq.m. of floor area; directly in charge of pre-construction and construction services on a variety of project types which cumulatively and approximately amounted to $800M USD, current and long term planning, urban land use planning, large scale projects, mixed land use applications, integrated resorts, industrial/business parks, school campus planning, civic center planning, residential development, recreational & trail planning, architectural space planning of offices, exhibition centers, data centers, hotels, casinos, retail malls, medical clinics, schools, commercial/retail and hospitality/leisure planning in Florida, Arizona, California, Hawaii, US; Dubai, Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Israel, China and the Philippines. May has developed and implemented plans and policies for land use of urban and provincial framework plans; Facilitated public hearings for comprehensive land use plans, civic plans and development plans; She is knowledgeable in the preparation of highest and best use studies and development business models.

After May’s stint in both design and development firms, she recently established a bespoke design studio that caters to clients who share her sustainability principles and creative, resourceful designs. While she manages and runs her studio practice, she is hands on in the development of her family’s farm where she incorporates practical sustainability applications.
